John McCain went hiking in Arizona over the weekend, just days after being diagnosed with brain cancer, and his daughter Meghan posted some touching photos.
The two went hiking on Saturday, according to Time, and Meghan took to Twitter during the hike to thank people for their support.
The tweet comes days after Meghan offered some very touching words about her father following his diagnosis.
"He is a warrior at dusk. One of the greatest Americans of our age. And the worthy heir to his father's and grandfather's name," she wrote. "But to me he is something more. He is my strength. My example. My refuge. My confidante. My teacher. My rock. My hero — My dad."
Despite the diagnosis, McCain says he plans to "be back [working in the Senate] soon," according to CBS News.
McCain's diagnosis came while he was recovering from surgery to remove a blood clot located above his eye.
McCain is set to undergo both chemotherapy and radiation in his battle with brain cancer.
