The Cleveland Browns released the former Heisman Trophy winner in March.
Manziel has been dropped by two agents in two months,
WFAA-TV reported. He is also accused of causing more than $30,000 in damage to a home during a party in Los Angeles.
The grand jury voted Thursday to indict Manziel, and the indictment will be official after two working days,
The Dallas Morning News reported. Manziel could face a year in jail and a $4,000 fine if he is found guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.
