Justin Bieber found himself in police custody for the second time in a less than a week Wednesday when he turned himself in to Toronto authorities in connection with an alleged assault back in December.
The 19-year-old Canadian singer faces an assault charge for reportedly hitting a limo driver in the back of the head during a Dec. 30 altercation.
According to ABC News, Bieber and his entourage attended a hockey game at the Air Canada Centre on Dec. 29. Later that night, around 2:50 a.m. on Dec. 30, the group was riding back to their hotel in a limo when a passenger got into an altercation with the driver. During the argument, a man thought to be Bieber reportedly hit the driver in the back of the head. The suspect then left the scene before police arrived.

Bieber spent about 90 minutes at the Toronto police station Wednesday night before leaving out a back exit. He is scheduled to appear in court for the assault charge on March 10.
Just last week, Bieber was pulled over by Miami Beach police for drag racing his rented Lamborghini and was
subsequently arrested for driving under the influence. He later admitted to drinking, smoking marijuana, and taking prescription pills.
He was released later in the day on Jan. 23 on $2,500 bail.
The incident was just the latest in a string of recent run-ins with the law. Earlier this month Bieber was accused of trespassing on his neighbor's property and throwing eggs at the home. As part of the investigation, detectives raided the singer's Calabasas, Calif., mansion and reportedly made one drug-related arrest.
In November, Bieber was accused of spraying graffiti in Brazil and last year he was photographed smoking what appeared to be a joint. Neighbors have also previously complained to police about him speeding recklessly through the residential streets of his gated community.
The pop star's antics have spurred people to
start a petition to have him deported back to Canada for good. As of Thursday,
the petition on the White House's website has garnered more than 180,000 signatures.
