Justin Timberlake surprised the Super Bowl selfie kid with a call on the Ellen DeGeneres show, during which he invited the 13-year-old and his family to a show in Boston.

Ryan McKenna's life has changed dramatically since becoming known as the guy who got a photo with Justin Timberlake during the Feb. 4 halftime show.

Days later and the Scituate, Massachusetts, native found himself doing his first in-studio interview with DeGeneres, according to People magazine.

McKenna recalled how he elbowed his way through a crowd to snap the now famous photo.

"I got myself there, I pushed through. I was elbowing people but I got there. I was there with him," he told DeGeneres.

The two briefly chatted about the memes that surfaced shortly after, which showed the 13-year-old distracted by his phone while Timberlake performed "Can't Stop the Feeling."

"I saw all the memes," McKenna said. "The iPhone 6 – that thing's slow. I had to get the camera back up to get the selfie."

Then DeGeneres dropped the bomb.

"There's someone on the phone who wants to say hi to you right now," she said, at which point Timberlake took over the conversation.

"It's nice to meet you finally," he told McKenna on the phone.

"It was so unexpected that you came down and because all of this has happened, I thought to myself I really wanna meet you properly," he added, before extending an invitation for McKenna to attend an upcoming show.
