Justin Timberlake will headline the Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 4 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Grammy award-winning singer revealed this on Sunday with a skit that saw him goofing off with Jimmy Fallon.
Speaking in a faux accent, Timberlake asks his pal for the time, to which Fallon responds, "I was going to ask you, sir, if you have the time," People noted.
The silly exchange continues as the two bounce the question back and forth until Fallon eventually says to Timberlake, "You’re doing the halftime show at the Super Bowl?"
Timberlake made an appearance on Sunday Night Football on Sunday, where he discussed his upcoming Super Bowl headlining gig with NBC Sports anchor Mike Tirico.
Us Weekly noted that Timberlake, who is battling to live down the wardrobe malfunction of his previous Super Bowl halftime show appearance, reassured Tirico that his next performance would be scandal free.
The two were referring to the 2004 incident during which Timberlake accidently exposed Janet Jackson’s breast on stage during Super Bowl XXXVIII.
The Mercury News noted that the incident unfolded during a duet of Timberlake’s single "Rock Your Body," when he grabbed part of Jackson’s costume but accidently ripped it, leaving her breast bare on live television.
"Mike, that’s not going to happen," Timberlake said during his Sunday Night Football appearance, referring to the blunder.
NFL confirmed that Timberlake will perform on the Pepsi Super Bowl LII halftime show on NBC at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018.
This will be his third Super Bowl appearance, making him the only individual performer to appear as many times in the Super Bowl halftime show.
