Kanye West's Beck Apology for Grammy Tantrum Finally Comes

By    |   Friday, 27 February 2015 07:27 AM EST

Kanye West apologized to musician Beck on social media for crashing his Grammy win and for his post-Grammy outburst after the awards ceremony.

To show that he was in a charitable mood on Thursday, the rapper also extended online apologies to singer Bruno Mars.

The rapper extended the olive branch through Twitter, noted The Daily Beast.

West briefly took the stage, but quickly sat back down after Beck won Album of the Year honors at the Grammys, a reminder of the stunt he pulled back at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when he stole the spotlight from Taylor Swift.

Most believed the recent stage invasion was a joke until West was interviewed by E! after the show and he blasted the awards show and Beck, according to the New York Daily News.

"I don’t even know what (Beck) said. I just know that, the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us," West said in the interview. "We aren’t going to play with them no more.

"… And Beck needs to respect artistry, he should have given his award to Beyoncé," West continued. "At this point, we tired of it. What happens is, when you keep on diminishing art, and not respecting the craft, and smacking people in the face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you're disrespectful to inspiration, as musicians, have to inspire people who go to work every day, and they listen to that Beyoncé album, and they feel like it takes them to a different place."

West included Mars with two additional tweets.
