Kate Gosselin and her ex-husband Jon didn’t make as much money off their TLC reality show as people may think, but the infamous couple did negotiate up to a hefty six-figure sum by the end of season four.
Details of the Gosselins' earnings are included in Robert Hoffman's tell-all book, "Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World," which also accuses the mother of eight of diva antics that made her prime tabloid fodder.
"Kate Gosselin dropped hacking and wiretapping charges against Hoffman last year after she successfully kept the
book from being published," wrote the Daily Mail last month. "But now, just days after the 'Kate Plus 8' special that aired June 19, Hoffman is making the book available."

According to Hoffman's account as detailed by RadarOnline.com, the couple made more than $920,000 for season four of "Jon & Kate Plus 8," up from the $18,000 they reportedly made off the entire first season.
"According to Hoffman, the Gosselins were paid a measly $2,000 per episode when the show first began and gradually negotiated their way up to $22,500 per episode," RadarOnline reported this week. "Hoffman breaks down the money the Gosselins made according to the contracts he says he obtained — and notes 'these figures do not include such things as bonuses, travel expenses, or per diems.'"
The biggest jump in the Gosselins' television salary came during a contract renegotiation in season four, when the couple went from $9,000 per episode to
$22,500 a pop, according to The Huffington Post.
"And although $22,500 per episode is much less than the $75,000 per episode that was reported at the time, $697,500 is surely not an insignificant amount of money," The Post wrote back in 2012.
