Kate Gosselin, the former "Jon & Kate Plus 8" star, said that the reality show experience that ended with her divorce from Jon Gosselin has left her humbled.
According to People magazine, Gosselin said she is trying to scrape together an income for her and eight little ones: twins Mady and Cara, 12, and sextuplets Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel, Leah, and Aaden, 9.

"I made so many mistakes, of course," Gosselin said of her "diva-like behavior" on the show. "It feels like a whole other lifetime ago and sometimes I don't even remember much of it. Both when the babies were first born and during the divorce, I was on survival mode. I feel like I've lived two lifetimes already. I'm not the same person I was ... I don't even recognize her."
"Jon & Kate Plus 8" was ratings gold for TLC in 2007, when the country followed the couple as they managed day-to-day life with a set of twins and sextuplets. But Jon and Kate's on-air and off-air arguments and a cheating scandal led Jon to leave the show in 2009. The couple divorced soon after.
TLC and Kate Gosselin tried to make a go of it with a retooled "Kate Plus 8" but the show was canceled in 2011. In total,
150 episodes were produced, Fox News reported.
Gosselin, a nurse by trade, has a cookbook out called "Love Is In the Mix."
"To not have a reliable income is scary," Gosselin said, admitting that she is "piecing and patching together" an income from other projects.
Her relationship with her ex-husband remains strained,
according to the Yahoo! OMG celebrity website. Jon Gosselin has the kids every other weekend plus dinner once a week. The couple only communicates via text message.
"The way he lives versus the way I live is the reason why we're divorced. Let's just leave it at that," Gosselin said.
