She may now be royalty, but Kate Middleton still likes a good deal. So much so that the Duchess of Cambridge reportedly asked for a discount while on a shopping spree over the summer when she was still pregnant with Prince George.
Sources claim that Middleton, 31, was at Old Stables antique shop in Norfolk early in the summer to shop for items to decorate her and husband Prince William's 10-bedroom country home on the Queen's estate in nearby Sandringham.

"Kate came in when quite pregnant… Such thin legs in her wellies," Caroline Combe, the shop owner, told the high society Tatler magazine, as
reported by the Daily Mirror. "She was looking at various things and asked for a discount."
What's more, she got it.
"Of course [I gave her a deal], she’s got a big house to do up," Combe said. "…I love her for asking."
Middleton and Prince William welcomed their first child — Prince George Alexander Louis — July 22 in London. The new family is rumored to be preparing to
move into a newly renovated luxury apartment at Kensington Palace this week, according to E! Online. Their Sandringham country home is reportedly close to being finished.
Middleton has earned the reputation of being down-to-earth, much like the late Princess Diana. For the royal baby's first portrait, she
opted for an informal snapshot taken by Prince Charles, the child's grandfather, instead of the traditional stuffy staged photograph.
