After the ceremony, Couric tweeted her excitement to her more tham 1 million followers.

The television journalist got engaged to Molner in September 2013 after the two had dated for roughly two years.

"It will just be a small dinner in New York," she later announced to reporters at the Sundance Film Festival. "He's the wedding planner!"

Couric, 57, and Molner, 51, celebrated their respective bachelorette and bachelor parties with karaoke and bar crawls in New York last week.

"We wanted to keep the wedding just very low-key," Couric told People magazine before the nuptials. "This is not my first rodeo so I didn't want to go too crazy and neither did John."

Jay Monahan, Couric's first husband, died in 1998 of colon cancer. Molner is divorced from his first wife, Jane.

After receiving many well-wishes on Twitter, Couric thanked her fans for all their support.
