Rumors of a secret romance between Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are swirling once again, bolstered by a recent photo of the stars holding hands.
Us Weekly published the photo of the stars holding hands and playing “footsie” on Wednesday, saying the image was snapped last month.
"Jamie is someone she can trust and have fun with. She's getting everything from Jamie that she didn't get with Tom," an unnamed friend told Us Weekly, referring to Holmes’ marriage to actor Tom Cruise, which ended in 2012.

People said sources have confirmed that Holmes and Foxx have been spending time together often, sometimes hours at a time, but that rumors of a romance were overstated.
"This is not some intense romance," an unnamed source told the magazine. "Jamie and Katie are friends and have been for a long time. They are two adults who are attractive and single, and so apparently conclusions will be drawn."
Gossip Cop attempted to debunk the romance rumors in an article Tuesday.
“Foxx and Holmes do NOT have a ‘secret relationship.’ They’re close, and they’re very good friends. But that’s the extent of it,” the website reported.
Rumors of a secret romance first emerged in 2013.
“It’s just one of those things where I understand as a public person, you are a public thing, but there is a human behind it, and it often gets a little bit confusing and circus-like,” Holmes previously told Gossip Cop.
