Katie Holmes Posts 'Throwback' Photo of Her Looking Just Like Suri

Indulging in the "throwback Thursday" fad of posting old photos, often of yourself, Katie Holmes put up a black and white image of herself on Twitter of how she looked at 7 years of age. Not surprisingly, Holmes resembled her 7-year-old daughter Suri Cruise.

Suri’s father is actor Tom Cruise. The couple finalized their divorce in July 2012.

It was later reported by the Huffington Post that Holmes had in part divorced the 51-year-old in order to keep her daughter away from the controversial Church of Scientology, of which Cruise and several other A-list celebrities are members.

Although the specific details of the settlement were not disclosed, sources indicate that Cruise and Holmes have agreed on a framework for their 6-year-old daughter Suri to live with Holmes while Cruise is given ample visitation rights.

Holmes and her daughter are now said to be in New York City braving the seemingly never-ending snow and frigid winds along with the eight million others who call the Big Apple their home. The 35-year-old actress however spent the holidays in sunny Miami, Fla., where she and Suri were reportedly spotted attending a movie theatre to see the film "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty."

Mom and daughter enjoyed popcorn and Milk Duds, theater employees told People. They acted "like a normal mother and daughter," and Cruise seemed happy, the magazine added. The pair were reportedly "nice" to everyone.

Holmes subsequently shared a touching photo of her and Suri holding hands over New Years.

Holmes made headlines last year for a rumored romance involving she and comedian turned actor Jamie Foxx.

In an October interview with Entertainment Tonight’s Nancy O'Dell, Foxx, who is a close friend of her ex-husband, called the rumors "hilarious."

"(The rumors) are one hundred percent not true," Foxx said. "In fact, it's quite hilarious because we simply danced at a charity event along with a lot of other people."

The rumors appeared to stem from an "Apollo in the Hamptons" benefit in East Hampton, N.Y. in August 2013 in which Holmes was seen dancing with Foxx and was apparently heard saying, "I haven’t had such a good time in so long," the New York Post reported.
