Katy Perry just dropped a whopping $500,000 on five Fisker Karma electric cars for her assistants,
according to a report this week in the U.K.'s Daily Star.
The 29-year-old "Dark Horse" singer is reportedly very aware of her carbon footprint and purchased the fleet of Fiskers in an effort to be more environmentally responsible.

"They are completely electric and top of the range in car luxury but she hates the smog in the air in L.A. In total she spent over half a million dollars on the cars and now her conscience is clean," a friend of Perry's told the Daily Star.
According to Yahoo Autos, the "Fisker Karma is a plug-in electric vehicle that uses electric motors to power the wheels. When the battery runs low, a small-displacement gas generator kicks in to charge up the battery again. It achieves the equivalent of 100 MPG, but has 409 horsepower and can get from zero to sixty in just 5.9 seconds."
Perry was criticized back in November for including a packet of seeds in the packaging of some of her "Prism" albums.
Australia's Department of Agriculture even declared the
packets a potential biohazard, Rolling Stone reported.
"Seeds or plant material of international origin may be a weed not present in Australia or the host of a plant pathogen of biosecurity concern," a Department of Agriculture spokesperson said in a statement at the time. "The Australian Government has a strong system in place to detect and respond to material of biosecurity concern. This includes the inspection of mail, cargo, and baggage."
