A man allegedly stalking Kendall Jenner has been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, TMZ reports.

Law enforcement arrested 38-year-old Canadian citizen John Ford, who entered the U.S. one year ago with a B-2 visa that allowed him to stay for up to six months.

Ford was arrested last fall after allegedly breaking into the gated community where Jenner lives, scaling a hill and getting caught by police after sitting on her front porch. A previous incident saw him ending up in her backyard by the pool, where the model’s security team spotted him before he fled.

"This timely arrest could very well have prevented a violent crime,” an ICE spokesperson told TMZ. “Our special agents acted quickly on this tip to ensure that this obsessive behavior didn't escalate to become a tragedy.”

The Kardashian-Jenner family said in a statement: "We are extremely appreciative of the hard work by the Los Angeles Police Dept. and ICE, whose swift response and professionalism led to this man's apprehension. His actions have not only had a severe impact on Kendall's life, but the entire family's sense of security, causing us to fear for Kendall's safety as well as our own. Knowing this individual is in custody gives us peace of mind."
