Internet commenters are backing Kris Jenner’s decision to slam President Barack Obama for criticizing daughter Kim Kardashian and Kardashian’s boyfriend, Kanye West, as not setting a good example for today’s youth.
“Kanye West first of all doesn’t go on vacation. Ever,” Jenner said on her new talk show. “And Kim Kardashian is the hardest working young lady in the world. She never sleeps. She never stops. She never slows down. And works so hard for what she’s got.”

Jenner was miffed over comments the president made in an interview last month in which he discussed the excesses of today’s celebrities.
“I do think what’s shifted is a notion that the wealthier you are, the more conspicuous consumption you engage in. The more successful you are, the more society should stay out of your way as you pursue the bigger house or the fancier jet or the bigger yacht,” Obama said at the time.
“Were there things that all of us might have liked to have? Sure. But partly, I think, there also has been a shift in culture. We weren’t exposed to things we didn’t have in the same way kids these days are. There was not that window into the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Kids weren’t monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing or where Kanye West was going on vacation, and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success.”
Jenner had plenty of backers on Twitter.
“Really, when you think about the amount of real work and productivity, Kim Kardashian just might deserve the biggest house and Obama the smallest,” tweeted @MarathonMom5.
“Not to mention the # of ppl she employs, those that she will have to carry insurance for, and the astronomic amount of taxes paid,” responded @SOcean5.
Jenner, who serves as her daughter’s manager, elicited a round of applause on her show when she said, “I was taught, dream big, work hard and you could have whatever you wanted, right?”
Hollywood Life notes that both Kardashian and her beau are workaholics “and no one can question their work ethics.”
