Did Jay Leno really offer actress Kristin Chenoweth $1,000 Thursday to eat poop on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno?"
Not really, but both shared a good laugh and actress got in a
nice plug for her charity in the process, according to TheWrap.com.
Leno made the unusual offer to the Broadway and TV star this way: Chenoweth reminded Leno and his audience during a March appearance she ate sea urchin after Leno promised $500 to her charity, Maddie's Corner.

The "Tonight Show" showed the clip of Chenoweth from March 27, who is a self-professed seafood hater, taking a spoonful of sea urchin like a champ, swallowing it, and taking a big gulp of water afterward.
After showing the clip, Chenoweth, saying that the sea urchin tasted "like snot and B.O." told Leno he should have paid her charity double, even though she admitted that Leno ended up giving $1,000 to Maddie's Corner.
Leno told Chenoweth the next time she was on, he will find her something more interesting for her to eat for charity to the applause of his audience.
Chenoweth went on to talk about her recent trip to Australia and her visit to the Sydney Zoo. There, she saw a Koala bear and started talking about interesting facts, such as how the animal eats its own poop. The light bulb went off in Leno's head.
"A thousand dollars," Leno blurted out in the middle of the Chenoweth story. "Much like the Koala."
Chenoweth laughed off the suggestion and asked, "My poop?"
"No, that's disgusting," Leno responded, probably realizing the conversation was going down the wrong road.
"I can't believe I just said that," Chenoweth said about her Koala bear "eating poop" story.
Chenoweth won a Tony Award in 1999 for her performance as Sally in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown." She also earned an Emmy for a best supporting role in the comedy "Pushing Daisies" in 2008.
Maddie's Corner is a charity started by Chenoweth that supports and increases the awareness of animals in homeless or rescue shelters.
