Lamborghini Aventador Crash: Sports Car Bruised, Battered After Three-Car Accident (Video)

By    |   Thursday, 03 April 2014 07:49 AM EDT

A Lamborghini Aventador crashed into three cars in London’s posh Knightsbridge neighborhood late Sunday afternoon, and it was all caught on video.

The driver of the $400,000 sports car, which can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds, sped down a street in the upscale shopping district while attempting to dodge a turning Mazda 5 hatchback. In addition to hitting the Mazda, the unidentified driver proceeded to hit a Nissan Qashqai crossover and a parked BMW sedan before coming to a stop.

No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

While the driver of the Lamborghini Aventador was not identified, the owner of the BMW is art consultant Lila Afshar, who, according to the London Evening Standard, was returning from lunch with her two daughters when she came upon her smashed-up vehicle.

"We showed up about three hours after the incident and there was a letter on the windshield," she told the newspaper. "The Lamborghini was being towed away and the owner came up and explained what had happened. He was really apologetic about it."

Aside from the many gawkers who gathered at the scene to take photos of the accident, the crash site also became an instant attraction for high-end car enthusiasts such as Paul Wallace of SupercarScene.com.

"I got a call to say someone had reported the Lamborghini crash on Sloane Street," Wallace told The Telegraph. "This car is known in London but I had never seen it before. From YouTube videos he enjoys revving the engine to create exhaust flames."

"It's a very nice example of the Aventador so I wonder whether we'll see it on the road again," he continued. "I have never seen a Lamborghini in such a bad way, and couldn't really believe my eyes or ears when I heard about this crash."

According to Wallace, the unidentified owner appeared to have been a young man and seemed pretty relaxed after the accident despite the fact that his $400,000 sports car lay bruised and battered along a London street.
