Last week, Lamborghini released the first photos of its Veneno Roadster, the open-roof edition of its Veneno coupe that made its debut last year at the Geneva Motor Show.
Lamborghini promised that the roadster will be more available than the coupe — slightly. While only four of the $4 million Lamborghini coupes were made, with one of them held in the Lamborghini museum,
nine open-roof Lamborghini Veneno coupes will be available, according to CNN Money, at $4.5 million a pop.

The Veneno Roadster is not a convertible, but has no roof at all. The vehicle does come with a roll bar for safety.
The car will satisfy any owner's need for speed, going from zero to 62 at 2.9 seconds and can go up to 221 miles per hour. Made almost entirely from carbon fiber-reinforced polymers, the all-wheel-drive Veneno Roadster comes with a 750 horsepower 6.5-liter V12 engine.
Nick Kurczewski, of the
New York Daily News, said the design and its ultra-light body makes the Veneno Roadster stand out in most any crowd.
"Earlier this year, during the annual Geneva Motor Show, Lamborghini pulled the sheets off the $3.9 million Veneno supercar," Kurczewski said. "The Veneno's boisterous body-work is crafted entirely out of carbon-fiber to keep weight to an absolute minimum. Some have criticized the Veneno's design as being over-the-top, even for a Lamborghini. Then again, potential buyers probably don't want their multi-million dollar supercar to blend into the background."
The Roadster's nimble body is state-of-the-art, but
RelaxNews.com reported the Lamborghini's engine V12 engine is still old school.
"While its competitors are busy experimenting with hybrid powertrains and preparing for a world in which even the crème de la crème of supercars use 10, eight or even six cylinders, Lamborghini is refusing to give up on massive, gas-hungry engines without a fight," reported RelaxNews.
While photos of the Veneno Roadster show the vehicle in what looks like "Iron Man" red, buyers will be able to purchase the vehicle in any color they like.
