President Barack Obama returned from vacation Sunday night, but not after taking in a round of golf Saturday with "Seinfeld" co-creator Larry David on Martha's Vineyard.

David, star of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and the more recent HBO movie "Clear History," played with the president, former U.S. trade representative Ron Kirk, and Boston Celtics co-owner Glenn Hutchins, according to USA Today.

Obama managed to spent time with the first lady and his daughters at a private beach that morning and then again for dinner that evening.

It was at least the third time David had crossed paths with Obama during the president's vacation. The Boston Globe reported that David played in a golf group ahead of Obama on Aug. 11 with a foursome that included designer Kenneth Cole, filmmaker Peter Farrelly and restaurant owner Patrick Lyons.

David was also part of a star-studded crowd at cocktail party thrown by Comcast CEO Brian Roberts for the president last week, according to the New York Post.

That guest list included Caroline Kennedy, who was recently nominated as ambassador to Japan; movie mogul Harvey Weinstein and his wife, Carly Simon; California Attorney General Kamala Harris; Obama’s senior adviser Valerie Jarrett; National Security advisor Susan Rice; Attorney General Eric Holder; and former Bill Clinton advisor Vernon Jordan.

Roberts has been a close friend of the president's for years and has endorsed the Affordable Care Act.

The president broke from Martha's Vineyard vacation publicly once, calling for an end to violence in Egypt Thursday as clashes there between Muslim Brotherhood protesters and the Egyptian military resulted in more than 500 deaths, according to CBS News.

Obama announced the cancellation of a planned biannual joint military exercise between the armed forces of the United States and Egypt during that Thursday announcement.

"While we want to sustain our relationship with Egypt, our traditional cooperation cannot continue as usual when civilians are being killed in the streets," he said during a news conference.
