LeBron James' buzzer-beater thrilled Twitter on Wednesday, with posts flooding in praising The King for his two plays that won the game for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Tension had been mounting throughout the nail-biting game against the Indiana Pacers but with seconds remaining on the clock, LeBron blocked a shot by Victor Oladipo near the basket, preserving the 95-95 score, Larry Brown Sports reported.
The tie-breaker came from LeBron again when he caught the inbounds pass and dropped the winner over Thaddeus Young, giving the Cavaliers a 3-2 lead in their playoff series, the Guardian noted.
Moments later Twitter was buzzing.
Star football wide receiver Odell Beckham referred to LeBron as his "idol" in a tweet paying tribute to the NBA legend.
"u are what I aspire to be like, in every way ! 1 closer! Let's rock," Beckham added.
Fans also shared their praise in a tweetstorm.
James has been dominating the court over the past few months.
Earlier this year he became the first player in NBA history to compile 30,000 points, 8,000 rebounds, and 8,000 assists over his career during a game against Brooklyn Nets, which saw Cleveland steal a 129-123 victory.
He also became the oldest player, at 33, to average a triple-double per game — positive double digit statistics — over the course of a month, with 27 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 10.5 assists over 10 games in February.
