Lego will produce a "Big Bang Theory" set that re-creates all the characters and Sheldon and Leonard's living room, right down to a Rubik's cube and a tiny Death Star.
Lego considered doing the "Big Bang Theory" set after more than 10,000 fans voted for it during a process that guaranteed its review, along with two "Doctor Who" sets,
according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Lego said the feasibility of producing those other projects will come at a later date, noted the celebrity newspaper.
"The proposal includes a trove of minifigures: Howard (complete with NES belt buckle), Penny, Rajesh (with Cinnamon), Amy, Bernadette, and of course Sheldon and Leonard," wrote E. Alex Jung of The Reporter. "The final set may differ from the prototype. Pricing and availability were not announced but the set likely will be released sometime in the next 6-9 months."
"Big Bang Theory" continues to dominate the ratings, even after moving to Monday nights briefly to accommodate CBS's "Thursday Night Football." Now back at in its usual Thursday night slot, the show recorded a 4.3 rating and 14 share in the 18-49 demographic, easily outdistancing all other competitors on Thursday night,
according to Zap2it.com.
The Lego announcement seemed to strike a chord to many of the show's fans online.
