Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods, probably the sporting world's best known couple, have split up, the two announced separately over the weekend. They had been "dating" since 2012, but both said they're too busy now for love.
Vonn is well on her way to a skiing comeback. The perpetually injured Woods is busy trying to stay relevant in golf.

Woods followed with a message on his
website, praising Vonn and blaming the split on their schedules that left little time for them to be together.
"Lindsey and I have mutually decided to stop dating," said Woods. "I have great admiration, respect and love for Lindsey and I'll always cherish our time together. She has been amazing with Sam and Charlie and my entire family. Unfortunately, we lead very hectic lives and are both competing in demanding sports. It's difficult to spend time together."
People magazine noted that Vonn and Woods were entering the busy periods in their professional lives. Woods, the former No. 1 golfer in the world, has continued his struggle to find his game after his record-setting career was marred by a cheating scandal with his ex-wife Elin Nordegren in 2010.
Vonn, one of best female skiers in history, is bouncing back from a knee injury that kept her out of the 2014 Winter Olympics and has begun training for the 2018 games, noted People.
The couple was last seen in public together at The Masters in April when Vonn accompanied Woods children to the tournament's par-3 contest at Augusta National,
reported USA Today. Woods supported Vonn in January when he flew to Italy to watch her compete in her Super-G comeback race, noted People.
Golf Digest reported the Vonn-Woods split was the third high-profile breakup for professional golfers within a year. Current No. 1 player Rory McIlroy ended his engagement with tennis star Caroline Wozniacki last May while Jason and Amanda Dufner divorced in March.
