Lindsay Lohan lost part of her finger in a boating accident over the weekend but was able to find it before being rushed to the emergency room.
Early Sunday, Lohan reportedly posted a photo and video on social media of an enormous bandage on her finger, USA Today said. In the message, she wrote, “I almost lost my finger from the anchor. Well, I lost half my finger, thank goodness we found the piece of my finger ... I just had surgery to fix it.”
The boating accident took place off the Turkish seaboard, and the celebrity actress had to undergo emergency surgery immediately to repair the mangled finger, The Daily Mail reported.
According to a TMZ report, the "Mean Girls" star, 30, was attempting to lift a heavy anchor onto the boat when her finger got tangled up in the rope. As she tried to free herself from the anchor ropes, the heavy boating equipment cut into her finger, the Daily Mail noted. Those on the boat scrambled to find the piece of finger, and once they did, Lohan was taken to the emergency room.
Lohan was originally on the trip in the Eurasian area for a humanitarian mission in support of refugees fleeing from Syria, according to the Daily Mail. There, she visited an Istanbul hospital as well as the home of a family of Syrian refugees.
