Timothee Chalamet Fined After Riding Bike to London Premiere

Timothée Chalamet may have chosen an eco-friendly way to arrive at the London premiere of his new film "A Complete Unknown," but it came at a cost.

The "Dune" star revealed during an appearance on the French talk show "Quotidien" that he was hit with a £65 fine (roughly $79) for improperly parking his Lime bike after the event.

"It's ecological!" the Oscar nominee said of why he opted to take a bike, according to Deadline. "It was horrible, because it was actually kind of an advert for them."

Chalamet said he skipped a car to the BFI Southbank premiere because of a traffic jam.

The actor was nominated for a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in James Mangold's biopic, "A Complete Unknown." Dylan has praised the actor, saying on X, "Timmy's a brilliant actor, so I'm sure he's going to be completely believable as me. Or a younger me. Or some other me."

Now in theaters, "A Complete Unknown" follows a 19-year-old Dylan arriving in 1961 New York City, ready to change American music. The biopic showcases his rise, with Edward Norton starring as Pete Seeger, Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, and Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo.

Chalamet previously spoke about the role and working with Norton on the red carpet of the film's Los Angeles premiere.

"We were like a menace to Jim because we were always trying to sneak stuff in and honor these amazing artists. My favorite thing about Edward in the production of this movie and also after this, is he really wanted to honor the spirit of Bob — who is alive and well — and Pete Seeger through this press and not compromise why we're ultimately there, the sort of pure values that you kind of have to when you're putting a movie out there," he said. "But I think Edward's always been very clear-sighted about that."
