Country music legend Loretta Lynn has come home from a rehab facility where she was recovering from a May stroke, but will delay her new album until next year.
The 85-year-old singer and songwriter is getting stronger and is intent on making a full recovery, Fox News reported.
Lynn is back at her Tennessee home and posted a Facebook message to her fans.
"Thank you so much for all of your prayers, love, and support. I'm happy to say that I'm at home with my family and getting better by the day," she wrote. "My main focus now is making a full recovery so that I can get back to putting all of me into what I love, sharing my music with all of you."
Her next album, “Wouldn’t it Be Great,” was scheduled to be released on Sony Music Legacy Recording in August, but will now be pushed back until next year so she can give it more attention, The Associated Press reported.
Lynn’s brother Herman Webb said her left side was partially paralyzed by the stroke, but that she is getting around with a walker and talking. He said she told him she thinks “she’s going to be OK,” according to Taste of Country.
Fans on Twitter wished Lynn the best and hoped she will recover fully.
