Maksim Chmerkovskiy, the veteran pro who appeared on 13 seasons of "Dancing With the Stars," is returning to the competitive reality show Monday as a guest judge for the semifinals round.
According to Access Hollywood, Chmerkovskiy, 33, will join regular scorers Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli to dole out opinions as the celebrity dancers take on the show's first ever "plugged/unplugged" challenge.

The final five contestants — Leah Remini, Amber Riley, Bill Engvall, Jack Osbourne, and Corbin Bleu — will perform routines to two versions of the same song.
Chmerkovskiy, who has taken part in all but four of the 17 "DWTS" seasons, finished in second place two times during his tenure on the show — once on Season 5 with former Spice Girl Melanie Brown and again during Season 12 with actress Kirstie Alley.
He announced his departure from the ABC show earlier this year.
"I've been a pro dancer on the show for about seven years now and am eager to explore other opportunities that have been made possible because of 'Dancing with the Stars,'" he said in a statement. "I'm going to take this time to dive into producing and acting, while fulfilling my sponsorship obligations."
Since "DWTS," Chmerkovskiy has appeared on an episode of "General Hospital" and starred in the Broadway musical "Forever Tango," along with fellow "DWTS" veteran Karina Smirnoff.
Chmerkovskiy's brother Val and his celebrity partner Elizabeth Berkley were voted off "DWTS" Monday despite scoring a perfect 30 on their waltz.
"Dancing With the Stars" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
