Marching Band Superman Flies Across Field; Ohio State Stuns Again

The Ohio State marching band continued its streak of wowing crowds with creative on-field formations, sending Superman and Harry Potter flying through the air and a T-Rex walking at a Saturday game.

The YouTube video of the homage to Hollywood performance, which followed on the heels of last week’s immensely popular Michael Jackson tribute, topped 3.2 million views by Monday.

Crowds at the Ohio State-Penn State game Saturday cheered as the band formed Superman, complete with the telephone booth where he changed into the hero, and then flew him through the air to save a toppling building. That was quickly followed with Harry Potter playing quidditch and then a gigantic tyrannosaurus Rex tromping across the field.

The finale of the 8-minute video was two pirate ships, one OU and one University of Michigan, OU's biggest rival, firing canons with, of course, the result of the Michigan ship sinking.

Social media sites lit up as band fans sent the video around.
