Maria Shriver is reportedly worried about her son Patrick Schwarzenegger's budding relationship with Miley Ray Cyrus.
Last week, Cyrus partied hard for her 22nd birthday, and was seen riding a mechanical bull shaped like a giant pink phallus at a club in West Hollywood. This set off mental alarms for the former first lady of California.
"The birthday party with all the penis pictures disgusted her," an anonymous source
told HollywoodLife.com.
"That was the worst thing Miley could have done. Maria is very, very worried about the influence Miley's having on Patrick. She fully believes that you become who you surround yourself with and she’s always been so happy with the friends Patrick chooses, she never saw this coming."
Neither the former Hannah Montana nor Schwarzenegger have confirmed their budding relationship, but the pair have been seen out and about, walking arm-in-arm, and smooching for the paparazzi.
The young couple reportedly spent Thanksgiving away from each other with their respective families,
the Daily Mail reported, but soon reunited over the weekend for a dinner out at posh Malibu restaurant Nobu. The couple kept it casual, eschewing collars and buttons in favor of T-shirts and sneakers.
The date was a perfectly innocent one as far as reporters could tell, potentially reassuring Shriver.
Hopefully she didn't see Cyrus' selfie on Instagram just a few days earlier, however, wherein the pop singer is smoking a hand-rolled cigarette with God knows what inside.
