Mariah Carey was set to perform live during NBC’s annual Christmas At Rockefeller Center tree lighting special on Wednesday after reportedly failing to appear on time to pre-tape the performance Tuesday.

Hollywood Life said Carey was so distracted with her pending divorce from Nick Cannon that she missed the taping.

The singer kept producers and fans waiting for three hours in freezing rain on Tuesday.

“The diva was supposed to pre-tape her performance of Christmas songs like she’s done before,” an unnamed source told the New York Daily News. “The show is live Wednesday, but producers have learned their lesson with her over the years and that they must pre-tape her. She always shows up late. On Tuesday night, she didn't show up at all.”

The network confirmed that Carey will perform live, the New York Daily News said.

It's the 20th anniversary of when she released her hit "All I Want for Christmas Is You."

Twitter users had mixed reactions.
