The Masters banned the "Dilly Dilly" phrase from being uttered on the golf course, according to reports.
A member of security supervising the prestigious event told Bunkered that all staffers at Augusta National had received a list of prohibited phrases and "Dilly Dilly," which was made popular in a series of Bud Light commercials, was among them.
According to the report, spectators will be escorted off the course should they be heard uttering the words.
Bud Light responded with a claim that it was going to "make 1,000 Dilly Dilly shirts that shall be delivered to Georgia in time for the festivities," according to Sporting News.
The company posted a quirky statement on Twitter addressing the ban in the form of a letter from "their King" King John Barley IV.
"Your king hath received word that the guards of the Green Jacket plan to escort any patron who dare utter Dilly Dilly off yon premises," the post read, according to the New York Daily News.
"Except for myself, I am against tyranny in all forms. So, I have instructed my royal tailors to make 1,000 Dilly Dilly shirts that shall be delivered to Georgia in time for the festivities. For if thou cannot say Dilly Dilly, thou can still wear Dilly Dilly."
The ban comes shortly after a series of incidents in which rowdy fans have disrupted tournaments.
Last month Rory McIlroy called for a limit on alcohol sales on the course following an instance in which a spectator allegedly kept yelling his wife's name, Sports Illustrated reported.
In another incident, Justin Thomas got a fan thrown out of the Honda Classic for yelling inappropriate remarks on the course, according to Golf Digest.
"I don't want to kick someone out just to kick them out," he later said. "It's just it's so inappropriate. We're out here trying to win a golf tournament."
