Mel Gibson's Battery Rap for Smacking Oksana About To Be Expunged

Mel Gibson's 2010 battery conviction, for his admitted open-handed smack of former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, is about to be expunged from his record, according to RadarOnline.com.

Gibson, who won best director and best movie at the Academy Awards in 1996 for "Braveheart," has completed probation, community service and counseling stemming from the January 2010 incident. He hit Grigorieva in the mouth "in an attempt to bring her back to reality," he said in court documents.

Gibson has reportedly maintained a peace agreement with Grigorieva, who has custody of their daughter Lucia, and Gibson continues to pay child support, according to RadarOnline.com. The requirements were part of a plea agreement struck in March 2011 that kept the actor out of jail.

Gibson's attorneys will petition the court to expunge the actor's no contest plea for the misdemeanor charge at an upcoming hearing. 

In March, Grigorieva filed for bankruptcy; she has acquired $438,000 in debt over the past five years. She asked the court alleviate her of all but $22,320 of the debt. Gibson pays her $20,000 a month — $240,000 annually — in child support, according to TMZ.

The Daily Mail reported that the Grigorieva is also receiving $2,500 a month, $30,000 annually, from actor Timothy Dalton for a son she had with him.
