Though Melissa Joan Hart always had the reputation of wholesome good girl, the actress reveals a dark past of partying, drug use, and Hollywood flings in her new memoir.
Hart, the former teen star of "Clarissa Explains It All" and "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," details her early years on the Hollywood scene in "Melissa Explains It All: Tales From My Abnormally Normal Life," which comes out next month.
"I experimented with weed, ecstasy, mushrooms, and mescaline for about a year and a half,"
Hart, now 37, told Life & Style magazine as an example of some of the dirt in her upcoming book.

One time in 1999, she says, she took ecstasy at a party at the Playboy Mansion and ended up kissing a girl on the limo ride home.
Hart claims her recreational drug use never turned into a full-fledged addiction, and said she even once turned down cocaine from Paris Hilton.
"I was kind of running with a bad crowd," she told Life & Style. "I just didn't enjoy taking drugs. I don't like the loss of control."
Hart also put her past celebrity hookups on blast, citing make-out sessions with actor Jerry O'Connell (she describes him as "a man-whore") and Backstreet Boy Nick Carter.
But there was one Hollywood heartthrob that Hart never liked much: Ashton Kutcher.
"Ashton and I just didn’t get along," she said, adding that she kicked him out of parties more than once for his "smartass remarks."
"Melissa Explains It All" comes out Oct. 29.
