Michael Savage will celebrate 24 years on the radio Saturday as one of the most listened to and most creative talk show hosts to ever be on the air.

Savage, a native New Yorker, has dominated the airwaves there and is heard by 20 million weekly listeners worldwide in more than 300 markets. He was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2016 and has written more than 25 books, several of which were best-sellers.

In addition to conservative views on “liberalism, borders, language, and culture,” Savage’s degrees in botany, medical anthropology, and nutrition sciences have given him unique viewpoints about the state of modern medicine and the role of homeopathic remedies, which have been the subjects of some of his books and on-air conversations.

Savage recently released “God, Faith, and Reason,” his latest best-seller. He has given more than $100,000 to veterans, much of it for the legal defense of those charged with murdering civilians and terrorists. He also gave college scholarships to five students who won his essay contest answering “What Does It Mean to Be An American?”

Savage recently weighed in on the current gun control debate in a Newsmax editorial, in which he advocated for some limits on “machine guns with armor-piercing rounds and fixed bayonets” as well as more mental health treatment.

Last year, he supported President Donald Trump’s limitations on immigration and said that America was “no longer living in the age of the Statue of Liberty, where we can take in all of the huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”

He also recently considered a run for Senate against Diane Feinstein in California where he now resides.
