Michelle Beadle, the ESPN sports reporter and host, went to the prom with a paralyzed Minnesota prep hockey player over the weekend and even submitted to the standard prom breathalyzer test.
The 38-year-old Beadle attended the Benilde-St. Margaret's School prom Saturday night with former high school hockey player Jack "Jabs" Jablonski on her arm,
ABC affiliate KSTP.com reported.
Prior to accompanying Jablonski to the prom, Beadle had dinner with the high school senior's family and participated in the grand march at the school that preceded the event, KSTP.com noted.

Jablonski asked the ESPN SportsNation host to escort him to his prom while she was appearing on his weekly
"Hockey Night in Minnesota" segment on the 105 The Ticket radio show earlier this week, telling her, "I'd formally like to invite you to my prom,"
E! News reported.
"Seriously, I would love it," Beadle replied.
"Can I wear an '80s dress to the prom? They're going to be like, ‘Why'd you bring a chaperone, Jack?'" Beadle joked, adding humorously, "And no alcoholic beverages, Jack, I will be watching."
Beadle later tweeted out a picture of a school administrator administering a breathalyzer test to her during the prom.
"I know that he’s a badass and someone I look up to immensely," Beadle wrote about Jablonski in an email to Larry Brown Sports. "I was shocked when he asked today. And I adore him for doing it live on the radio. I’m honored to squeeze my 38 year old behind into a formal gown for a great night!"
The pair reportedly had a great time together during the prom, with Beadle subsequently joking on Twitter that she "Woke up with a pimple. I blame @Jabs_13," to which Jablonski responded, "@MichelleDBeadle it's that high school life... #pubertyround2."
