Mick Jagger is expecting his eighth child, this time with his current ballerina girlfriend, Melanie Hamrick.
Jagger, 72, and Hamrick, 29, have been in a relationship since 2014,
The Sun reported, and she joined Jagger in Rio de Janeiro and Mexico earlier this year while the Rolling Stones were touring through Latin America.
According to Us Weekly, the roster of Jagger children include daughter Karis, 45, with ex-girlfriend Marsha Hunt; daughter Jade, 44, with ex-wife Bianca Jagger; daughters Elizabeth, 32, and Georgia, 24, and sons James, 30, and Gabriel, 18, with ex-girlfriend Jerry Hall; and son Lucas, 17, with ex-girlfriend Luciana Gimenez.
Before his relationship with the American ballet dancer, the Rolling Stones frontman was in a serious relationship with fashion designer L'Wren Scott from 2001 to 2014 before she stunned the world by committing suicide in March 2014.
A source told The Sun that the couple is "surprised and happy," but plan to continue their regular schedules with Hamrick living in America and Jagger in England.
"They've seen each other a lot, they like each other a lot but they still want independent lives," the source said. The newspaper said that Hamrick was planning to end her career on stage.
"Mick's relationship with Melanie works for both of them," another source told The Sun. "Melanie is very American and doesn't want to move to London, even though they've been seeing each other regularly over a long period of time now."
"Mick likes the arrangement they have and doesn't want to be in another formal relationship. But the most important thing is how much he loves his children and he has great relations with them. He will support and love this child," the source continued.
Jagger's bandmate Ronnie Wood, 68, became a parent again in May with wife Sally Humphreys, 38,
according to The Mirror.
"Ronnie and Sally Wood are delighted to announce the birth of their twins Gracie Jane (six pounds) and Alice Rose (5.7 pounds)," the couple said in its announcement of the births, according to The Mirror. "The girls arrived on 30th May at 10:30 p.m. and all are doing brilliantly. The babies are perfect."
