Mika Brzezinski, cohost of MSNBC’s "Morning Joe," lost her composure and ran off the set Monday after reading a headline about a gas leak at a "Furry" convention.

Not knowing what a Furry convention was, Brzezinski asked "Did I get that wrong?" She then began laughing and buried her head in her hands when images of people wearing stuffed animal costumes appeared on the screen.

While Brzezinski’s cohost continued with the story, she ran off the set.

The convention, according to its website, is to celebrate "furry fandom, that is, art, literature, and performance based around anthropomorphic animals."

Police are investigating the gas leak, which caused the evacuation of the Hyatt Hotel in Chicago, where 19 people were sent to hospital for nausea and dizziness, according to 9news.com.au.

Rosemont police said they suspect the powdered chlorine was released intentionally.

Not all Twitter users were amused.
