Mo'ne Davis is the first Little Leaguer ever featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated, earning the top honor after she used her 70-mph fastball to pitch a shutout game in the World Series.
The 13-year-old plays for Philadelphia’s Taney Dragons, stands at 5 feet 4 inches, and said she remains focused on her game, regardless of the fame.
"I don't really like all the attention, 'cause it just feels like everything's just about me, and they don't see the whole picture of my teammates, and without my teammates I don't think we'd be here right now," she
told ESPN's Karl Ravech in a sit-down interview on Tuesday.

Davis' shutout made her the first girl to ever throw one in World Series history, but she has repeatedly told interviewers that she also hopes to play basketball.
"To be honest, I never thought I’d be famous for baseball. I want to play basketball, and I could also do both basketball and baseball — but I really want to play basketball," she
told Sports Illustrated.
She
told The New York Times that if she's ever on the cover of SI again, "Hopefully, it’ll be me in a UConn jersey."
These days, Davis is thronged by fans and reporters, and she's slowly learning how to navigate overwhelming demands for autographs and interviews. She said one of the most surprising aspects of becoming famous is having celebrities mention her and reach out to her on social media.
"I give her all the credit in the world. For somebody who is 13 years old and has been as composed as she is, that’s really amazing," said Pete Lupacchino, a host of the Dragons.
Davis remains focused going into her next game on Wednesday, where she will pitch against Las Vegas.
