Mortal Kombat Conan O'Brien-Style: Super Brawl XLIX (Video)

By    |   Friday, 30 January 2015 09:18 AM EST

Late-night host Conan O'Brien invited Marshawn Lynch and Rob Gronkowski to face off for a few rounds of Mortal Kombat ahead of their Super Bowl 49 showdown this Sunday, and the results were hilarious.

Conan boasted that he was able to get an advance copy of the hyperviolent videogame ahead of its April release, and flew it to Arizona for the segment.

Upon setting it up on a big screen TV at a local hotel, Conan sat down with the Seattle Seahawks running back and New England Patriots tight end for a bout of juvenile fun filled and heaps of locker-room humor.

Lynch was garbed in his "BeastMode" hat — the one that almost got him fined on Media Day — as well as two necklaces with Africa medallions. As CBS Sports commented, Gronk was "just being Gronk. He's a four-year old trapped in a giant's body."

At one point in the segment, Conan shows off his idea for a new touchdown dance in which he cradles a football like a baby, and puts it to bed quietly.

He also grabbed the footballers' attention after Lynch asked Conan what kind of drugs he was on.

Conan replied that the only drug he was on was Lipitor, and broke into a spoof product plug. Gronk instantly ran with it, trying to get in on the fake endorsement money.
