A man and a woman are going to prison after they threw bacon at a Scottish mosque and wrapped it around door handles.
It is forbidden in Islam to eat pork.
Douglas Cruikshank, 39, and Chelsea Lambie, 18, were
convicted of threatening and abusive behavior, AFP reported.

Cruikshank received nine months of imprisonment and Lambie was ordered to spend 12 months at a facility for young people.
"The Muslim community are a valued and integral part of Scottish society and there is no place for such attacks in modern Scotland," state proescutor John Logue said, AFP reported.
BBC News said messages were found on a BlackBerry in Lambie’s clothing that said, “Going to invade a mosque, because we can go where we want.” Another message, in response to someone texting about what they did last night, said, "Went to the mosque in Edinburgh and wrapped bacon round the door handles, opened the door and threw it in ha ha ha."
"I was surprised if a person did it for a joke. It is against our culture and religion," a mosque security guard said at the trial, according to the BBC. “We do not eat pork or even touch it. I felt very bad seeing this meat in my sacred place. It hurt my feelings when I saw this meat hanging inside the mosque in the worshipping area. It was very disturbing."
Cruickshank pleaded guilty only after a racial aggravation charge was removed. A third person involved in the attack pleaded guilty in 2013 and received a 10-month sentence.
While the online community agreed the pair were wrong to put bacon on the mosque, many questioned the length of sentences.
