Naomi Campbell has become a mom.
The 50-year-old supermodel shocked the world when she introduced her first baby on Instagram Tuesday.
"A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother," Campbell captioned a photo of her hand cradling the newborn's feet. "So honored to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love."
Several celebrities and notable media personalities congratulated the supermodel, with some hinting that they had known Campbell was going to be a mom, The Sun noted.
"Oh my God!!!!! Today is the day?? How absolutely incredible. How lucky she is and how lucky you are! What a wonderful Mother you will be. Blessings all around," replied New York-based fashion designer Marc Jacobs.
"Seeing the two of you together made my year," British Vogue editor Edwards Enninful wrote, suggesting that he had already met Campbell's baby. "You will bring each other so much joy @naomi."
Elizabeth Saltzman, a London-based stylist, expressed how overjoyed she was to meet the little one.
"Welcome to the family baby girl. Seeing you and your mama yesterday was pure joy. I promise as an auntie to always be there to listen and hear you, to help and love you, to laugh and dance with you," she wrote.
"oh my goodness congrats lady! What a blessing!!!" added Zoe Saldana.
Campbell's mother, Valerie Morris-Campbell, also shared the news on Instagram.
"Congratulations to my daughter Naomi on the birth of her daughter, I'm beyond thrilled as I've waited a longtime to be grandmother," she captioned the same photo her daughter had shared.
Campbell has discussed having children in the past.
In a 2018 interview with Vogue Arabia, Campbell said she was open to the idea of having children.
"I'd love to have kids. I don't discount anything in life," she said. "I love kids and always will. When I’m around children, I become a child myself. That’s the little girl I don’t ever want to lose."
In a 2017 interview with Evening Standard, Campbell admitted thinking about having children "all the time."
"But now with the way science is I think I can do it when I want," she said, but explained that she did not want to be a single parent.
"I do want a father figure. I think it’s important," she said.
It is unclear who the father of Campbell's daughter is.
