Silver medalist Nancy Kerrigan is returning to the Winter Olympics as an NBC analyst, 20 years after she was attacked by people associated with figure skating rival Tonya Harding.
Kerrigan, 44, went on receive silver in women's figure skating in Lillehammer, Norway. She will serve as an analyst for the networks' multi-platform coverage, including NBC and NBCSN. She will also appear on NBCUniversal shows and programs including "Today," "Access Hollywood" and "E!."

"One of America's most well-known Olympians, Nancy will provide insight into what it takes to prepare for and compete in figure skating at the highest level,"
Jim Bell, executive producer of NBC Olympics, said in a statement to USA Today.
Kerrigan has served as a broadcaster at previous Olympics games. She was a special correspondent for "Entertainment Tonight" at the 2010 Vancouver games and hosted Nancy Kerrigan's World of Skating on CN8, which is now The Comcast Network, in Philadelphia.
Before taking silver in 1994, Kerrigan captured a bronze medal at the 1992 Albertville Olympic Games. With those accomplishments, she became the first U.S. woman to win figure skating medals in consecutive Winter Games since Carol Heiss won a silver and gold medal in 1956 and 1960, respectively. Kerrigan retired in 1994 and was inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2004.
NBC is also planning to air an extended report about the attack on Kerrigan, who rarely speaks about it publicly.
"I really don't look back unless someone asks me to look back, and then I have to," Kerrigan told USA Today Sports in a recent phone interview. "Otherwise, why would I? I was attacked."
For her part, Harding told USA Today Sports: "It was 20 years ago and I don't remember lots and lots of it. I know it was a horrible time for everyone involved. It was a bad streak, going through all the crud, and I was able to rise above it. I think Nancy and I have good lives now."

Olympic Winter Games are scheduled to take place from Feb. 6-23, 2014, in Sochi, Russia. A total of 98 events in 15 sports will be held. The games have met with controversy, due to the host country's stance on homosexuality.
