Neil Fingleton, the 7-foot, 7-inch "Game of Thrones" actor who was the tallest man in his native Britain, died Saturday of heart failure at age 36.

Fingleton played Mag the Mighty on HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and was one of the 25 tallest men in the world.

"I have always been taller than everyone since I can remember," Fingleton told Guinness World Records in 2007. He was born in 1980.

Fingleton said he was about 7 feet tall by the age of 11 and reached his full height of 7 feet, 7.56 inches at age 18. He considered being tall a “special gift,” according to The Sun, and said he has never been self-conscious about his height.

“I never let my height play a negative part in my life,” Fingleton told Guinness. “I always do what I want, some tall people may be restricted as they are constantly stared at or people ask the same question over and over.”

Fingleton played basketball in college and in the NBA until his career ended because of an injury. He then decided to become an actor, earning parts in "Doctor Who," "X-Men: First Class," and "47 Ronin." He also did stunt work for "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Fellow "Game of Thrones" actor Ian Whyte tweeted he was sad to hear about Fingleton's passing.
