Neil Young's opinion on the Dakota Access Pipeline is made clear in a new song and music video, entitled "Indian Givers."

According to the Rolling Stone, Young’s video includes footage from the recent protests against the access pipeline that some argue is major threat to the environment.

“There’s a battle raging on the sacred land/Our brothers and sisters have to take a stand,” Young sings in the video. “Against us now for what we all been doing/On the sacred land there’s a battle brewing.”

“We keep taking what we give away/Just like what we call Indian givers/It makes you sick and gives you shivers/I wish somebody would share the news.”

According to New York magazine's Vulture, this isn’t the first political protest song Young has penned over the years. It’s actually just one of many he’s written over the course of nearly half a century.

In addition to Young’s song on North Dakota’s pipeline, he’s also written detailed songs on what he refers to as American civil-disobedience, Vulture noted. He even wrote an anti-Monsanto song last year, focusing partially on Starbucks, according to KLUV.

Young has removed a lot of the videos of his new song from the internet since releasing it. Over the course of the summer, the people of the Standing Rock Indian Reservation and the organization ReZpect Our Water have protested in favor of the Dakota Access Pipeline, in hopes of seeing its growth. The protests have led to many arrests, Rolling Stone noted.

As of September 9, the Obama administration has temporarily suspended the construction of the pipeline, Fox News reported.
