Neverland Ranch, previously occupied by late pop superstar Michael Jackson, is up for sale. The asking price? A cool $100 million.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the 12,000-square-foot, 6-bedroom mansion house is nestled among over 20 other structures across the 2,700-acre property.
Located in Los Olivos, California, just a few miles north of Santa Barbara, the property has been re-christened as Sycamore Valley Ranch by Sotheby’s, Sotheby’s International Realty, and Hilton & Hyland, which share the listing. The floral clock that spells out "Neverland" remains on the property, however.
Parts of the property have been renovated, the Neverland Valley Fire Department is no longer staffed, and all of the amusement park rides, as well as the orangutans and elephants, have been removed. A llama does remain, however.
Jackson purchased the property in 1987 for roughly $20 million, and lived there for approximately 15 years.
The selling agents said that they expect high demand from Jackson's wealthier fans, and are therefore not going to do "a lot of showings" nor "giving tours" for looky-loos.
