New York's frozen ice house outside of Rochester has become a social media sensation and a sign of the times as yet another blast winter hits the Northeast.

The home in Webster, captured on film by photographer John Kucko and which appears to be encased in ice, sits on the beach about 25 feet from Lake Ontario's shore, said CNN.

"This house on Lake Ontario looks like a modern version of an igloo," said the New York Post. "It became completely covered in ice as a massive snowstorm swept toward the New York City area."

Kucko, who works part-time at WROC-TV, posted other pictures of the frozen home at different angles.

The "ice house" generated plenty of comments on social media.
