Nick Gordon, boyfriend of Bobbi Kristina Brown, has entered rehab after being confronted with his feelings and addictive behavior on “Dr. Phil.”
Gordon, who found Brown in her bathtub, not breathing after an apparent overdose, “won’t let go of the guilt,” according to his mother, who spoke on “Dr. Phil.” Brown is currently on life support.
“As we sit here right now, my son’s life hangs in the balance. When Whitney was found, he administered CPR to her and called me as he was standing in front of her saying, ‘Mom, why couldn’t I do it? I couldn’t get air into her lungs,’”
Michelle Gordon was quoted in a CBS press release.
Gordon made the announcement on Twitter that he would be going somewhere for help.
He also tweeted, “I’m so hurt wanna do myself in. I know I have to (be) strong.”
A CBS press release called the intervention done by Dr. Phil with Gordon as “emotionally charged,” and said the psychologist offered him “the treatment he appears to so desperately need as he battles drug and alcohol addiction.”
Gordon shared that he’s been suffering panic attacks and mental anguish since he found Brown, 22, the release said.
“Numerous press reports allege strife within the family, with her boyfriend Gordon at the center of the allegations,” according to the release.
The “Dr. Phil” episode will air on March 11.
Police have opened a criminal investigation into the incident surrounding Brown’s overdose.
“Nick reportedly hasn't been very cooperative with the cops so it will be interesting to see if he said anything to Dr. Phil about
what really happened to Bobbi Kristina in January,” Yahoo said.
