The Netflix hit documentary "Tiger King" has generated controversy surrounding the death of activist Carole Baskin’s husband Don Lewis and O.J Simpson has weighed in on the matter. He appears to agree with the show's star, Joe Exotic, who claims Baskin murdered her husband and fed him to the tigers in her sanctuary.

Simpson made his comments in a video shared on Twitter. During the clip, he expresses disbelief at the popularity of "Tiger King." Simpson then implies that Baskin was responsible for Lewis' death.

"There’s not a shred of doubt in my mind that that lady’s husband is tiger sashimi right now. I’m just sayin," he stated.

Baskin has denied murdering her husband, who is missing, and she has not been charged with any crime.

But O.J., who was liable in a civil trial for the stabbing deaths of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, is giving the impression that he knows a murderer when he sees one. (O.J. was acquitted of murder charges in his criminal trial.)

Lewis, who ran a big cat sanctuary, went missing 23 years ago, according to The New York Times.

The day after his disappearance, police found his van parked at a private airport. Since then investigators have been working to solve the dormant case. A few eyebrows were raised in 2011, when Baskin refused to take a polygraph test, but no further leads were generated.

Now the case has once again come to the forefront thanks to the "Tiger King" docuseries, which regularly mentions Lewis.

Chad Chronister, the sheriff of Hillsborough County, Florida, is hoping the show can help him gather new information about the case.

Police have been flooded with tips and theories about what happened to Lewis since the release of the documentary last month. The case is still labeled as a missing persons case as there is no evidence to suggest otherwise but Chronister hopes this may change.

"We are hoping we can bring some justice and closure to the Lewis family," he said.

O.J. famously said he would hunt for the “real” killers of his ex wife and Goldman, but so far has not offered to do the same to find Baskin’s husband.
