The story of Oprah Winfrey's long-lost sister Patricia Lloyd has resurfaced as the queen of daytime talk takes on an eight-part reality series with Lindsey Lohan, who has a long-lost sister of her own.
Winfrey's story with Lloyd resurfaced in light of Lohan learning last November she had a half-sister, Ashley Kaufmann, who she did not know about. Kaufmann was born out of a relationship between Lohan's father, Michael Lohan, and Kristi Horn Kaufmann while he was still married to Dina Lohan. DNA results finally confirmed the news, after years of
Michael Lohan refusing paternity tests and financial support, according to the Daily News.

Winfrey found out about Lloyd, who her mother Vernita Lee gave up for adoption when she was a newborn, in 2011. Lloyd was eventually adopted by a family in Milwaukee, less than two hours from where
Winfrey established Harpo Studios, according to the Christian Post.
While researching the background of her real family, Lloyd learned of the linkage and quietly worked to contact Winfrey through family contacts instead of selling her story or going public, which impressed her talk show host.
"Imagine my shock right before Thanksgiving that I had another sister living just 90 miles away in Milwaukee," she said.
Another one of Oprah’s sisters, Patricia Lee, sold the story for $19,000 to The Nation Enquirer.
In Lohan's case, Ashley Kaufmann, lived in Montana at the time the news broke that Michael was her father. She was 17 at the time.
"While I'm sorry it took so long, we finally got the answer, and I'm 100 percent happy with it," Michael Lohan told the Daily News at the time. "We're all okay with it and will deal with it in the best way we can."
Lohan will earn $2 million from the interview and reality gig with Winfrey. Lohan's mother, Dina, said Oprah has agreed to mentor her daughter as well.
Dina Lohan said she hopes Winfrey's ability to overcome difficult circumstance to build an incredible life herself will rub off on her daughter.
"Oh it's fantastic,"
Dina Lohan told the Daily News. "If anyone is going to help mentor you, it's going to be Oprah."
