Photos of Oprah Winfrey ducking under a security line rope at the Academy Awards on Sunday are making the rounds on the Internet.
Rather than waiting in line to be cleared by security, the TV host and producer crept under a black velvet rope and headed for the
red carpet, the Daily Mail reported.
The 61-year-old star appeared to almost trip over her long gown as she hurried away.
E! Online pointed to the security dodge in a story saying how Winfrey dominated the show.
“In fact, at times it seemed like there was at least one camera trained on the star at all times, just to catch her every reaction,” E! Online noted.
The article also pointed out how Winfrey ran away from Lady Gaga, acted surprised when host Neil Patrick Harris made a joke about her wealth, and got a shoutout in Graham Moore's speech as he accepted the Best Adapted Screenplay award for “The Imitation Game.”
Winfrey attended the Oscars as one of the producers of Best Picture-nominated “Selma.” She also presented an award.
