The nationally-ranked Oregon Ducks teased glow-in-the-dark uniforms in a Twitter post Monday, upping its jersey game to a place it's never been before, even though the college football team is usually known for its exotic uniforms.

The Oregon Twitter post came with the "Win the Day" saying and an unidentified football player dressed in the glow-in-the-dark uniform.

SBNation also noted that Oregon has used the glow-in-the-dark uniform in its message to recruits as well.

"There's no confirmation at the moment that these will be worn on the field, of course," SBNation's Kevin Trahan wrote. "Oregon has gone the reflective uniform route before, but this would add a whole new dimension. Would the Ducks turn off the lights at Autzen during introductions? Would the uniforms actually light up? There are a lot of fun possibilities."

Tony Machir, of Sporting News, was not convinced that the uniforms were real, but was willing to admit he would put nothing by Oregon's athletic department.

"Can the kings of outlandish uniforms actually get more outlandish?" Machir wrote. "The Oregon Ducks, a football program with more possible uniform combinations than there are universities in the country, just may take the uniform game to another level."

"Now, could it be just a poster or the real thing? . . . Football games aren't played in the dark. But far be it for us to tell Oregon how to do their uniforms," he added.

Cindy Boren, of The Washington Post, pointed out that unless the Oregon Ducks are planning on play a football game with the stadium lights out, fans may never get the see the glow-in-the-dark jerseys anyway.

"Never mind that there's no real reason to have uniforms that light up," Boren wrote. "The poster has served its purpose by getting people to talk about the Ducks. Still, stop to imagine how cool the uniforms would look in the tunnel before kickoff. It would be even cooler to turn off the lights in the stadium at night games, but that probably isn’t the best idea."
